<p>Namokar Mantra, also known as the Navakâr Mantra or the Namaskâr Mantra, holds a significant place as the primary and most frequently recited prayer/mantra in Jainism. Its universal reverence can be observed throughout the day, transcending temporal constraints. Within this mantra lies a profound salutation to the Pancha Parmeshthi, comprising the five revered spiritual masters: the Arihantas, Siddhas, Âchâryas, Upadhyâyas, and Sadhus (ordinary monks). This act of homage resonates with the impartation of guidance for navigating the righteous journey towards genuine bliss and the complete liberation from our soul's karma.</p>
<p>The essence of this mantra extends beyond individual adulation to encompass a collective acknowledgment of the virtues embodied by all eminent spiritual figures. Remarkably, it deliberately omits specific references to Tirthankaras and Siddhas, reflecting a broader tribute to elevated beings. Serving as a testament of profound reverence towards spiritually evolved entities, the Navkar Mantra underscores the existential quest for nirvana or moksha within Jain followers. Through profound prostration to these divine spiritual entities, it aptly acquires the title Namokar Mantra.</p>
